General information
The PT-808 was an experimental Japanese Type 7 torpedo boat. It was laid down at the Mitsubishi shipyard in 1956 and launched in January 1958. Boats of this type replicated the characteristics of Japanese torpedo boats from World War II: they had good seaworthiness, but relatively low speed. Two Type 7 boats were built: PT-807 had a gas turbine engine, and PT-808 had a diesel engine. PT-808 remained in service until 1974.
The PT-808 was introduced in Update 2.29 "Sons of Attila". It has powerful artillery armament but is relatively slow and it's torpedoes are weak.
