Finland operated a very small number of FB 52A Vampires during the early Cold War. A total of 6 units were acquired from the United Kingdom in 1953 and they were nicknamed "Vamppi". Later, nine T.55 twin-seat trainers were acquired in 1955. The aircraft served with the 1st and 2nd Air Wing before being retired in 1965 in favour of more capable fighters.
The Finnish Vampire FB 52A was introduced in Update "Fire and Ice". Being a Vampire, it is a typical early jet. It has poor acceleration, but when compared to its counterparts, it has less top speed in favour of a more capable flight performance in dogfights. The Vampire has a very tight turning radius, which means that as long as it has enough speed, it is capable of outperforming enemy aircraft; however, it loses speed with ease, and thus good precision and quick fights are needed in order to succeed.
