The HMS Norfolk (78) was a British County-class heavy cruiser of the Dorsetshire sub-class. Built at a shipyard in Glasgow, she was named after the county of Norfolk in East Anglia. She was laid down on 8 July 1927, launched on 12 December 1928 and commissioned on 30 April 1930. She participated in the pursuit of the battleship Gneisenau and the hunt for the Bismarck, and took part in the battle against the battleship Scharnhorst, as well as in the search for German "pocket battleship" raiders. She also escorted Arctic convoys. The ship was decommissioned from the Royal Navy in January 1949.
The HMS Norfolk was introduced in Update 2.9 "Direct Hit", in her 1943 modification. The cruiser has decent anti-aircraft guns and high mobility, but has a weak citadel armour and low survivability.
