The LaGG-3-11 is a modified version of the Soviet single-engine fighter, the LaGG-3. Over time, the aircraft underwent many changes. The 11 series aircraft were equipped with an M-105PA engine, which stopped using a float chamber, and six missile guides or DZ-40 bomb racks. Fuel tanks were no longer installed in the outer wing panels, which reduced the fuel capacity to 260 kg. Larger wheels were also installed on the landing gear. The LaGG-3 was used by the Soviet Air Force during World War II and in combat operations against Japan in 1945. A total of 6,528 LaGG-3 aircraft were built, including approximately 700 of the 11th and 23rd series.
The LaGG-3-11 was introduced in Update 1.33. Like all LaGG-3 fighters, the aircraft has powerful armament and decent speed but lacks climb rate and maneuverability. Due to these characteristics, dogfights poses a significant challenge to LaGG-3-11 pilots. The addition of suspended weaponry allows to fight ground targets with some efficiency, but heavy targets require extreme precision.
