Between 1985–1990, the Royal Thai Army purchased 125 M60A3 TTS tanks from the United States after they were retired from the US Army. The M60s saw combat against the Myanmar Army during the border conflict in 2001. Due to their obsolescence, the RTA sought to replace the tank in 2010, resulting in the purchase of the T-84 Oplot-T. Despite this, and the later introduction of the VT-4 in 2018, the Thai M60 remains in active service to this day.
The Thai M60A3 TTS was introduced in Update "Tusk Force" as part of the Japanese ground forces tree. Performance-wise, the Thai M60A3 is identical to its Taiwanese counterpart. It boasts thermal sights, a two-plane stabiliser, good gun handling, and a wide selection of ammunition. However, it suffers from a large profile, average mobility, and inadequate protection due to the lack of ERA compared with the American version.
