The Sd.Kfz. 234/2 "Puma" was a German heavy reconnaissance wheeled armoured car from the Second World War. It was developed in 1943 as the successor to its predecessors (Sd.Kfz. 231/232/233). The chassis was the standard Sd.Kfz. 234 chassis, as used in the Sd.Kfz. 234/1 and 234/4. However, the 234/2 featured a 5 cm KwK 39 gun and an MG 42 machine gun mounted in a VK 16.02 "Leopard" turret. Approximately 101 vehicles were built between December 1943 and June 1944. These were primarily used for reconnaissance on the Western Front, including during D-Day against the Allies and the Battle of the Bulge, but also saw occasional service on the Eastern Front.
The Sd.Kfz. 234/2 "Biene" has the camouflage of the 20. Panzer Aufklärungs-Abteilung 20 (20. Pz.A.A.), a reconnaissance unit of the 20. Panzer-Division (20. Pz. Div.), which was temporarily equipped with 16 Sd.Kfz. 234/2s.
The Sd.Kfz. 234/2 "Biene" was introduced in Update 2.55 "Ninth Wave". Its nickname "Biene" refers to the "Biene" lettering on the front sides of the turret. It features several additional 3D decorations, including a steel helmet on the right side of the turret, as well as a camouflage net that almost completely conceals the armoured vehicle. It has the ability to scout enemies, and it is very fast and agile, which is a great advantage. However, it has very little armour, which makes it very vulnerable to HE shells, artillery fire, and air attacks.
