The leKPz M41 was the German designation for the American M41 Walker Bulldog light tank, which began being delivered to West Germany in 1955. It was the first post-war tank to enter service with the Bundeswehr. The M41 was operated by tank reconnaissance battalions and tank destroyer units. Many vehicles were locally upgraded during service, including the installation of smoke grenade launchers, gun modifications, and other improvements. This vehicle remained in service until 1969.
The leKPz M41 was introduced in Update 1.95 "Northern Wind". With its high mobility and high-penetration APDS rounds, it can act effectively as a scout and ambush platform. Unlike the American M41A1, it also features smoke grenade launchers, allowing it to conceal itself more easily. Its excellent mobility also makes it effective for flanking manoeuvres and deep penetrations into enemy rear areas. However, its weaknesses should be kept in mind: relatively thin armour and a tall profile.
