The CM34 is a Taiwanese IFV developed in 2014 as part of the CM32 family of AFVs. The CM32 was a joint development between Taiwan's Ordnance Readiness Development Center (ORDC) and the Irish arms manufacturer Timoney in 2002, aimed at creating a universal platform for future AFVs capable of carrying various weapon systems. After the first prototype was produced in 2007, the CM32 served as the base platform for several variants. The CM34 variant was equipped with a single 30 mm Bushmaster 2 autocannon, additional ceramic composite armour, and an advanced fire-control system. The CM34 was accepted for service in 2019, and the ROCA planned to procure at least 305 vehicles, including 24 for the military police.
Introduced in Update 2.51 "Spearhead", the CM34 is an exceptionally versatile vehicle. Armed with a powerful 30 mm autocannon with excellent optics and LWS, the CM34 is highly effective against both ground and air targets. Its two-plane stabiliser ensures steady aim while stationary or on the move. However, the CM34 suffers from a limited belt capacity of 90 rounds and a long reload time of 10 seconds, which effectively restricts its firepower and can leave it defenceless at crucial moments. As with any other IFV, the CM34 remains vulnerable to most incoming fire, especially direct hits from certain angles.
