Bind a key to let you switch between the sponsons. That way you can aim down the sights of either gun—by default, you will see down the sights of the starboard (right) side.

Your sponsons are not symmetrical. The port (left) sponson cannot aim directly ahead of the tank, only the starboard one can. Keep that in mind when in combat.
