For you to try new stuff: Only on this page. Not on any other page. - Enjoy.

Template for value comparisons

This template proposal allows to quickly generate value comparisons. Eg. if you'll pass penetration values of 2 weapons, it can be used to generate text like "It's close Soviet counterpart has 21% lower penetration". It can accommodate to a different language versions and flexion via optional parameters. If accepted - it can be used to built template that would be automatically pulling values for the units based purely on their codes and specified attributes (idea is to make requests like jp_type_95_ha_go|us_m2a2|speed|forward|AB)

Proposal for Ammo racks

Because ammo racks tables are not very intuitive, here is my proposal:

Racks empty none 1 1 & 2 1 to 3 1 to 4 1 to 5 1 to 6
Racks full 1 to 6 2 to 6 3 to 6 4 to 6 5 & 6 6 none
Shells onboard __ (+0) __ (+__) __ (+__) __ (+__) __ (+__) __ (+__) 1 (+__)

Alternative?

Racks Full 1st empty 2nd empty 3rd empty 4th empty Visual discrepancy

Bomb tables

I took this article: AN-M30A1 (100 lb) as a template for bomb pages.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • High resolution thermal gunner and commander optics, as well as low resolution driver thermal optics.
  • Has access to the M900 high penetration APFSDS round when spaded.
  • Autoloader allows a 7.5 second reload no matter the amount of crew members left or their health.
  • Can put another shell in the autoloader in only 6 seconds; it is not effected by crew skill.
  • High turret traverse speed (60°/sec with an ace crew) allows great reactionary ability.
  • Unmanned turret can protect the crew from harm thanks to their location in the hull.
  • Laser Warning Receiver (LWR) can allow increased situational awareness.
  • Can fire smoke grenades three times, four grenades each time (total of 12 smoke grenades).
  • .50 caliber machine gun can be used against low-flying aerial targets and lightly armored ground vehicles.

Cons:

  • 7.5 second reload is longer than for many vehicles with a 105 mm gun and human loader when they have full crew loading skill.
  • Can only carry 18 rounds of ammunition, which may not always be enough.
  • Thin armor can only protect against machine gun rounds; it is not able to protect against autocannons.
  • It has a very large profile, making it an easy target. It is also vulnerable to hull break.
  • Horsepower to ton ratio of ~15 hp/t results in low acceleration.
  • Can not neutral steer and the off-road mobility is poor because of the wheeled design.
