Weapon of type Heavy-machine-gun, used by the Navy and air-force. nearly identical to the 13.2mm Hotchkiss Mle 1930 who was used by the army against ground target.

it was a very common short range SPAA used by the french and also exported all over the world. it is notably used by Italy and Japan who built it under license. it was used in the air force for static AA defense in twin gun mount under the name of Hotchkiss mle 1930 DCA. the navy used it in a lot of ship as AA guns. it was usually in quadri-mount.
