In War Thunder we call "clans" or teams squadrons. A squadron can have 128 team members. There is a ranked leaderboard of the best squadrons which play in SBR battles and each season the 3 top squads get a prize of GE. Furthermore there are tournaments which have prize pools, too. They are often streamed on twitch. Being in a squad allows researching Squadron Vehicles. The more active you and your whole squadron are the more research points you will get. Creating a squad costs GE.
