The development of the Vickers Mk.11 began as a private venture by Vickers to meet the requirements of an Australian tender for a long-range patrol vehicle. Vickers created a wheeled armored vehicle based on the Timoney Mark 8 IFV hull and fitted it with a turret from the VFM5 light tank prototype. They also proposed different variants such as an armored personnel carrier, an SPAA, an ATGM carrier, a command and control vehicle, and an ambulance. Full-scale development began in March 1993, and the first prototype was unveiled in September at a British Armed Forces exhibition. Despite its rapid development and potential versatility, however, the Vickers Mk.11 failed to attract customers, and work on it ceased after the first prototype was built.
The Vickers Mk.11 was introduced in Update 2.31 "Kings of Battle". It is a large, lightly armored vehicle with poor mobility offroad but it can reach fairly high speeds on asphalt. It also features an well-known L7 cannon, a laser rangefinder, and the ability to float.
