ZTZ59 (Family)
Description
The ZTZ59 (or Type 59) is a Chinese 1st generation main battle tank put into service in 1959. The earliest models were direct copies of the Soviet T-54A, with later variants being heavily upgraded into the 1990s.
The ZTZ69 (or Type 69) is a derivative of the Type 59, featuring a number of improvements to automotive and fire control abilities, among others. It also saw extensive upgrades throughout its development history.
