Spelling

The wiki uses British English so please stop changing the spelling of words. That'll only get your edits reverted. Thanks, --Colok76286 (talk) 06:57, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Apologies! --LightningFerret (talk) 21:25, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Description formats & See also's

Hi LightningFerret,

Thank you for your continued contributions to the War Thunder Wiki but a few pointers I wanted to make towards some recurring re-edits when it comes to approving your edits:

Description format

There's currently 2 formats found on all vehicles on the Wiki:

  1. The old standard "The PAGENAME is a VEHICLE TYPE with a battle rating of ___. It was introduced in Update __"
  2. The new standard that follows the following guidelines:
    • 2* paragraphs with the initial paragraph (preferably starting with the vehicle name) describing its history and characteristics, the last paragraph explaining its gameplay perspective.
    • *More paragraphs can be used to go further in-depth (but keep it as concise as possible - expanded history should stay in History section), a paragraph can also be used to explain its availability and/or details about the camouflage of unit or nation
    • Old standards can (and should) be updated to the new standard, but the new standard will be kept and not return to the old standard
See also (and other uses of subheaders)

I've also noticed primarily in See also's that you bold the subheaders by simply '''TEXT''', but if you have a new line, you can simply use ;TEXT which is personally easier and is common & more consistent across all pages

Another side note is to remember not to delete the template text and simply comment it out if there's content in said section i.e.

 ==See also==
<!-- ''Links to the articles on the War Thunder Wiki that you think will be useful for the reader, for example:''
 * ''reference to the series of the helicopter;''
 * ''links to approximate analogues of other nations and research trees.'' -->

 ;Related development
 * [[Vehicle (family)]]

Thank you again,

--Shimakaze (talk) 15:41, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
