=== Effective damage===

The M-31-UK is a High Explosive (HE) warhead type missile with a bulbous warhead, which allows it to deal incredible high explosive damage. This rocket can destroy almost all ground vehicles ingame with a single direct hit.

=== Comparison with analogues===

This rocket will be compared most often with its smaller brother, the [[M13|M-13]]. Compared to the M-13, the M-31 is over twice as large in caliber, and far more dangerous against enemy vehicles through overpressure.

== Usage in battles ==<!-- ''Describe situations when you would utilise this rocket in-game (vehicle, pillbox, base, etc)'' -->

The rocket is best used in concentrated strikes against most vehicles at choke points.

=== Pros and cons===<!-- ''Summarise and briefly evaluate the weaponry in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark pros and cons as a list.'' -->

'''Pros:'''

*Indirect fire weapon, rockets can be used to attack targets behind obstacles

*The launcher layout allows almost simultaneous launch of rockets

*Surprisingly accurate for a ground-launched rocket

*Large warhead; can dispatch all but the heaviest of tanks, unlike its smaller brother, the [[M13|M-13]]

'''Cons:'''

*Vehicles carrying this weapon usually lack a large ammo pool; must be fired conservatively

*Ranging shots is difficult

== History ==

''Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/ History" (example: <nowiki>https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History</nowiki>) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <code><nowiki><ref></ref></nowiki></code>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <code><nowiki><references /></nowiki></code>.''
