Description
The Tiran 4S is a rank V Israeli medium tank with a battle rating of 8.0 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced in Update "Wind of Change".
It is a captured T-54 (1951) from the 1967 and 1973 Arab-Israeli Wars. The Tiran 4S offers the major change of switching to the American M68 cannon which is shared by other Israeli tanks of the battle rating, outside of this there are minimal changes from the T-54 outside of an added jerry can and rear stowage boxes, and the commander-controlled gun being swapped to a 7.62 mm M1919A4.
It will play similarly to the Soviet and Chinese models of the T-54 (see type 59 fir Chinese model), and is thusly not vulnerable to the shot-traps of earlier models. However, the new gun grants unique gunplay options with options for APDS, HESH, HEAT and Smoke shells. It will offer a fresh experience compared to the Soviet and Chinese T-54s.
General info
Survivability and armour
Being a near perfect clone of the T-54 (1951), the Tiran 4S offers very good protection for an early game vehicle. It is able to survive all solid shot rounds, but offers no protection against heat-based options, leaving it weak in that aspect, especially at it's battle rating of 7.7. It has the same weaknesses as the aforementioned T-54.

Mobility

Usage in battles
Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but instead give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).
Pros and cons
Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".

History
Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === In-game description ===
, also if applicable).
Media
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
