The Agusta A109 was an Italian multi-role utility helicopter. Agusta, which was known for making motorbikes and various helicopters such as the Agusta-Bell AB-205 and the Agusta A-129 Mangusta, created this helicopter mainly to break into the export market. Originally intended for commercial use and a civilian market, when designing the helicopter Agusta quickly realised that the specifications could be slightly altered to allow the platform to also be marketed for military roles. By 1973, the first military prototype of the Agusta A109 was presented, and various armaments began to be integrated in the following years, such as TOW ATGMs.

Introduced in Update "Hot Tracks", the A109 can pose a serious threat against the enemy team. You have the ability to mount up to four missiles at once, with the option of also mounting gunpods or extra rocket pods. The flight performance for this helicopter is one of the best for its battle rating, and due to all the empty space it is also able to withstand a number of hits before being rendered unable to fight. Keep in mind that you do not have access to countermeasures, so any SAM systems will make short work of you if you are not paying attention. One of the main issues players might face with this helicopter is unlocking the TOW missiles; although the A109 gets rockets stock, they are very limited and difficult to aim at enemy vehicles. For best results, prioritise taking out light tanks and enemy aircraft that are not alerted by you.
