A brief feature overview.
Friends, today marks six months since the launch of the updated War Thunder Wiki. To celebrate this milestone, the Wiki Team has decided to share an overview of our achievements and new features with you.
Global Search
The long-awaited search button has reappeared in the site header. Now, you can conveniently search articles, vehicles, and other pages in one spot.
Collections of vehicles by weaponry
It is now very easy to find vehicles with the same weaponry. If the weaponry is integrated into the new system, go to its collection page by clicking the link on the vehicle card or find it in the list of all collections.
Random Vehicles and Articles
Due to popular demand, we have added the ability to access a random vehicle or article from the vehicle type pages and the main page's "Discover" section. The wiki is now even more fun to explore!
The expansion of vehicle cards
We've added many new parameters to vehicle cards, including detailed guided weapons data, available radar modes, and more.
Profile backgrounds
The profile background you choose in the game is now displayed on your wiki profile.
Updated article rating system
The article rating system has been streamlined: if you like an article, simply give it a like. No more fiddling around!
Here are the top 5 of the most popular articles written by different authors during this time:
Miscellaneous
Dozens of smaller improvements and fixes have also been made, most of which were reported by you. Thanks for the feedback!
New: Tips & Tricks
Do you have an important yet minor fact or piece of advice about playing a vehicle that isn't significant enough to warrant its own article? For example, you could point out an unknown vulnerable area on a vehicle, the order in which ammunition from different racks is spent, or a unique gameplay feature. Now, you can easily do so with the Tips & Tricks function!
The new feature is available on each vehicle's page. Click the + icon to add your own tip. You can also explore existing tips and give useful ones a like.
The Wiki team does not reward Tips, but it does reward full articles.
Special thanks to all the authors and moderators who contribute interesting and useful articles to Wiki. Over 100 volunteers have created and reviewed hundreds of new, unique articles. Thank you for being with us!
As always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions for improving the website. Please write them in the comments under this post or on the forum. We will definitely read all of them!
