The Z-10A is a variant of the Chinese Z-10 attack helicopter. In the late 2010s, the PLA began upgrading its Z-10 attack helicopters. These upgrades addressed the shortcomings of the prototypes and improved the cockpit's armor protection. They also installed more advanced fire control systems, modern electro-optical systems, and more powerful engines. The Z-10A became the PLA's primary attack helicopter, with over 200 currently in service.
The Z-10A was introduced in Update 2.47 "Leviathans". This modification differs from the base Z-10 in that it has additional armor for the cockpit and engines, as well as slightly more powerful engines. Otherwise, it is practically the same: a not-very-fast-but-maneuverable helicopter with decent AKD-10 and excellent TY-90 missiles. Its disadvantages include a limited number of countermeasures and a small ammunition load for the 23mm autocannon.
