The RN Geniere was laid down on 26 August 1937, launched on 27 February 1938, completed and commissioned on 15 December 1938. She was assigned to the 11° Squadra Cacciatorpediniere and successively deployed to the 3°, 1°, 5°, 8° Divisione navale and, in 1942, to the Squadriglia Navale. In the pre-war period, Geniere carried out training activities, participating in the Naval Review in Naples in 1939 and a cruise to the ports of North Africa and the Dodecannesso. She also took part in the main naval actions of the Second World War, carrying out very intense activity. RN Geniere carried out 143 missions, of which 50 were escort missions and 13 were search missions, covering no less than 58,000 miles (93,000 km). RN Geniere was destroyed on 1 March 1943 when she was in Palermo for alterations but fell victim to an enemy air attack that caused her to sink.

Introduced as a premium pack in Update "Starfighters", RN Geniere is an excellent destroyer for its speed, manoeuvrability, and torpedoes, while the main armament is not as good. It consists of only five 120 mm cannons equipped with AP and HE which do not cause much damage, making it vital to use the AP efficiently to destroy enemy ships. The anti-aircraft armament is improved over the other Soldati-class destroyers and allows you to destroy enemy coastal boats and planes at medium and short range.

RN Geniere was removed from the store after the 8th Anniversary Sale. It has been made available for purchase with Golden Eagles briefly during the 2022 and 2023 "Italian Navy Day" mini-events.
