The OTO C13/TUA was a prototype anti-tank missile carrier developed by OTO in 1982 as part of the C13 IFV family. The C13 platform was designed to accommodate multiple different armaments and be easily modified to suit various roles. This variant, in particular, mounted the TUA (TOW Under Armour) launcher derived from the M220-series TOW weapon system found on the American M901 ITV. Unfortunately, due to market saturation with light tanks, none of the C13 variants were sold, and OTO cancelled the programme in 1999.
Introduced in Update 2.51 "Spearhead", the C13/TUA is essentially an Italian cousin to the American M901, sharing its distinctive missile launcher turret. Similar to the C13 T90, the C13/TUA is capable of resisting most autocannon rounds from the front, though one should never expect it to survive an anti-tank round. However, much like the M901, the C13/TUA’s launcher retracts while the vehicle is moving, which can hinder deployment time once a suitable firing position is found. The need to remain stationary to maintain turret position and fire a TOW missile makes the C13/TUA unsuitable for aggressive play, but highly effective in positional engagements.
