The Breda 90/53 is an Italian self-propelled gun mounted on a wheeled chassis. Ansaldo de Gênes Sampierdarena began developing a wheeled 90 mm self-propelled anti-aircraft gun capable of firing directly at ground targets in 1940. The chosen chassis was the Breda 51 Coloniale (6x4) army truck. After necessary modifications, it was designated the Breda 52. Mass production for military use began before testing was complete; by May 1943, 120 vehicles had been delivered. The Breda 52 with the Cannone da 90/53 gun saw action in North Africa and was used to defend Italy against Allied invasion.
The Breda 90/53 was introduced as one of the rewards for the Battle Pass Season XIII, "Tropical Storm". The vehicle is a typical example of a "glass cannon", as its 90 mm gun is mounted on a lightly armored truck with little protection against enemy shells. The gun can handle almost any target though, often with a single shot.
