H145M

The Airbus H145M is a military version of the EC645 T2, a civilian helicopter developed by Airbus Helicopters. The helicopter received EASA certification in 2015 and was officially cleared for operation that May. The Bundeswehr became the first customer for the H145M, receiving their first helicopters in 2015. Germany ordered a total of 15 helicopters for the 64th Helicopter Squadron, which is based in Laupheim. One of the primary roles of the new helicopters is to support special operations forces.

The H145M soon attracted interest from other countries as well. Deliveries to the Royal Thai Navy began in 2016. Subsequently, Serbia, Hungary, and Luxembourg acquired the H145M, helping to establish it in the international market for light, multi-role military helicopters.

The H145M was introduced in Update 2.59 "Sky Odyssey". Thanks to its twin-engine configuration, the helicopter has good acceleration while remaining relatively easy to control. It is also equipped with advanced onboard systems, countermeasures, and thermals. It carries Spike ER air-to-surface missiles for engaging heavily armored ground targets. The laser-guided FZ275 rocket pods are useful against light vehicles and helicopters. One drawback is its limited armament for aerial targets; players can choose between two 12.7mm machine guns or two GIAT M.621 20mm cannons.
