Albatros (P6111) is a German Type 143 Albatros-class missile bearing fast attack craft. These boats were among the largest vessels of their type at the time. They were designed to attack enemy ships and to defend their shipping and minesweeping forces in the North and Baltic Seas. Ten such boats were produced, all of which were based in Warnemünde.
Albatros was laid down at the Lürssen shipyard in Vegesack on May 4, 1972; launched on October 22, 1973; and entered service on November 1, 1976. It did not participate in any combat operations and was decommissioned on March 24, 2005. On February 28, 2011, it was sold to Ghana and entered service on July 31, 2012, as the patrol boat P39 Naa Gbewaa.
Albatros was introduced in Update 1.77 "Advancing Storm". The boat is distinguished by its rapid-fire, versatile main-caliber guns and good mobility, though it is quite large and lacks armor.
