Jaguar (P6059) is a German torpedo boat and the lead ship of the Type 140 Jaguar class. These ships were direct descendants of the German Schnellboote of World War II. Shipbuilders took all the experience gained from using torpedo boats into account and tried to adapt the vessels for modern combat operations in the Baltic Sea. Jaguar was completed and entered service on November 16, 1957. It served until June 22, 1972, when it was decommissioned and converted into the yacht Lina III. The boat's subsequent fate is unknown. Between 1957 and 1961, a total of 20 boats of this type were built.
Jaguar was introduced in Update 1.77 "Advancing Storm". It is notably faster than many other torpedo boats and does not fall short of them in firepower. Four torpedo tubes allow it to launch a barrage of deadly, fast torpedoes at opponents or sink up to four enemy boats with targeted single launches. Its cannon armament is also powerful; its 40 mm Bofors gun is effective against enemy boats and aircraft. However, the Jaguar has almost no armor; only the wheelhouse and gunner stations are bulletproof. Therefore, it is crucial to leverage the boat's speed and the long range of its guns.
