General information
The Type T-38 was a Japanese torpedo boat built during World War II to combat American patrol boats in the Guadalcanal campaign. A further development of the Type T-1, these boats differed in that they were armed with a 25 mm Type 96 automatic cannon and two 450 mm Type 2 torpedoes. Between 1943 and 1945, a total of about 80 boats of this type were built.
The Type T-38 was introduced in Update 1.89 "Imperial Navy". This boat has powerful artillery and decent mobility but does not stand out in terms of survivability due to its entirely wooden hull.
