Due to the increased activity of Schnellboats and Raumboats, which were inflicting significant damage on British coastal convoys, it was proposed that the Fairmile A series of motorboats be modified to correct their shortcomings and turn them into gunboats capable of effectively repelling German boats. The design of the new boat was completed by mid-1940 and designated the Fairmile C.
One of the last boats built in the series was the MGB-332. Laid down on August 27, 1940, it entered service on October 8, 1941. Later boats differed from earlier ones in their modified armament, which included a large number of rapid-fire automatic guns. The MGB-332 survived the war intact and was decommissioned in October 1945 and sold.
The Fairmile C (332) was introduced in Update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea". It has powerful armament and good speed, but its survivability is not outstanding due to its all-wooden hull.
