The F-84G-31-RE (China), known to the ROCAF as the 雷霆式 (lit. the Thunderbolt type), was one of the F-84G series delivered to the ROCAF and also the last production straight-wing F-84. These jets served as a stopgap for the ROCAF while awaiting new aircraft, and also achieved notable victories over MiGs during their seven years of service – aircraft that were previously considered unbeatable by the F-84.

Introduced in Update "Sky Guardians", this jet closely resembles earlier series of the F-84G (/unit/f-84g_china) in ROCAF service, differing primarily in delivery and its "block number" designation of 31. While its conservative design and relatively underpowered engine (compared to later jet engines) might restrict its use as a fighter, its valuable air-to-ground ordnance fills a crucial gap in the Chinese tech tree. With its premium status, players can train for jet ground-attack operations without relying on ballistic computers found on future jets, simultaneously earning extra research points and silver lions.
