When playing with other players from your regiment, a common vehicle pool for your group is created. For example, 3 players from one regiment participate in a battle, and each of them has 3 vehicles. These are united in a single pool of 9 vehicles that are available for all three regiment members.

The rules of using air units in combat are practically identical to those regarding the use of ground vehicles. The only difference lies in the use of suspended armaments and fuel, which are set by the commander during the air force assembly stage.
+
Before the battle, the participant will always receive one fully researched vehicle from each vehicle group of the army and will be able to put them into their vehicle slots. The level of respective crew and its qualification on the selected vehicle in the vehicle slots are taken into account.

Thus, players are allowed to use their own aircraft with their current respective upgrades and crew levels, but the air units’ suspended armaments will be predetermined. If you happen to use up all your rockets, torpedoes, missiles, and/or bombs in the previous battle, you will only have access to your aircraft’s gun armament – or the basic armament if you are piloting your army’s aircraft.
+
If the player has their own suitable vehicles for the battle, that can be used instead. You can take one vehicle from each vehicle group represented in the army into the battle.

You can check the availability of the suspended armament chosen by the commander right before selecting the aircraft at the start of the battle:

Msg-info.png This article only covers the rules of distribution and use of combat vehicles in World War battles. You can learn more about the World War mode in the main article.
A confrontation between two armies in World War mode initiates a battle where the participants may only use the combat units in their respective armies. Each army’s units are placed in the pool  and distributed between the combatants.

Unit Distribution

At the start of a battle, each combatant receives 1-3 combat units, which are randomly selected from the pool. The number of units received is determined by the total number and variety of combat units in the army, while the chance of receiving a particular vehicle solely depends on how many of these units there are in the pool.

When playing with other players from your regiment, a common vehicle pool for your group is created. For example, 3 players from one regiment participate in a battle, and each of them has 3 vehicles. These are united in a single pool of 9 vehicles that are available for all three regiment members.

The respawn window shows all the vehicles available for the army.

WW unit icon 2.png Vehicles distributed from the army pool and available to the player.

The number in brackets is the number of vehicles of this group available to the player or the group of players (if playing with other members of your regiment).

WW unit icon 1.png Vehicles that haven’t been assigned to the player but available for spawn points.
WW unit icon 3.png Unavailable vehicles.

They weren’t assigned to the player or the group of players (if playing with other members of your regiment) and are not available for spawn points.

When the player loses a vehicle during the battle, they receive a random vehicle from the army pool (if there are any vehicles left).

The number of the army’s vehicles in the battle

The number of vehicles or each group that remains in the army can be checked in the respawn window. In white is the number of vehicles remaining in the army, in yellow is the number of vehicles assigned to all players.

When a player exits the battle, all vehicles assigned to them are returned to the army pool and can be assigned to other players.

For the enemy army only the number of vehicles remaining is shown, not counting the vehicles assigned to the players.

Preparation for battle

Before the battle, the participant will always receive one fully researched vehicle from each vehicle group of the army and will be able to put them into their vehicle slots. The level of respective crew and its qualification on the selected vehicle in the vehicle slots are taken into account.

If the player has their own suitable vehicles for the battle, that can be used instead. You can take one vehicle from each vehicle group represented in the army into the battle.

You can automatically place your vehicles eligible for battle with the maximum battle rating from each group in the vehicle slots by pressing “Generate vehicle preset”.

Over the course of a battle, players earn Spawn Points, which allow them to use the units placed in their vehicle slots even if they didn’t receive the said vehicles during the distribution stage. You can purchase for spawn points special vehicles that can be urgently needed in certain battle situations: SPAAGs and aircraft.

Air Reinforcements

The commander can call in for air reinforcements if there are no allied air units in battle.

The distribution of the newly arrived air units follows the standard rule of replacing the next aircraft lost.
