Image copyright

Hello,

Can you please provide proof that the images you uploaded recently are public domain or copyright free (for example, an original source such as Wikimedia that shows image copyright status)? We cannot host images with questionable copyright status. --Inceptor57 (talk) 20:44, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

I fear very much that this image is under Copyright, it comes from site:http://avions-de-la-guerre-d-algerie.over-blog.com/article-les-north-american-f-86-k-sabre-francais-122102940.html, it's a blog. so I don't know if the copyright is valid or not. --CDT_GALAAD (talk) 10:01, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Unfortunately, if the copyright of the image is in question, the image should not be posted here on the WT Wiki. Images, especially with watermarks, should be considered copyrighted. There are a couple of things which you can do, first, contact the blog owner and find out if they have a copyright on the image (many times they just stick the watermark on there because the image is on their site) if they say no, ask them where they got the image from and try to track down potential original owners or those who know the source. It is best practice when adding an image to add the web address of where the image came from so others can go to that site. I hope this helps. --AN_TRN_26 (talk) 10:47, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
