-While the F4U pilots manual listed the main landing gear usable as an "air brake", it states when engaged in this fashion only the main gear would deploy (tail wheel and the tail hook would not). There is not an option in the settings to allow for "main gear" only deployment and the default "air brake" key when depressed list on the screen "no airbrake". Quick testing in the game from 4,000 ft at 100 mph, diving approximately 70° down recorded airspeed of around 280 mph IAS at the 1,000-foot area with both gear up and gear down. Apparently, the game is not modelled to use the gear as an air-brake, however, gear rip-speeds still do apply. For this reason, we will leave the "airbrake" option on the aircraft page listing "no airbrake" or an "X". If in the future the flight model of the aircraft changes to incorporate the deployment of the landing gear as an air-brake, we can go ahead and make the change here too. - AN_TRN_26 (talk) 18:39, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
