Splitting into multiple pages

Not sure where to ask this but here seems fitting. I was wondering about making each section of this page (Units, Effects...) have its own page and put them all under a "CDK Reference" category. I'm suggesting this because with every update this page gets bigger and so do the load times, and it's becoming noticeable on slower networks, as well as because I intend to add a bunch more stuff. I understand I could do this process myself and wait for a moderator to approve or deny the changes but I'm still inexperienced with wikis so I want to make sure I fully understand the consequences of such a reorganization first.

I know one of the problems caused by such a reorganization would be that all the links pointing to this page would turn dead, but I recall there's a feature that lets you find specific dead links? Worst case scenario, I remember the few pages that have links pointing to this page so it should be easy to update. --Pwa_ (talk) 15:40, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

One solution I can suggest is instead to make extensions of the CDK Ref page for the information growing too large. As in "CDK_Reference/Effects" or "CDK_Reference/Units" (Full URL view: https://wiki.warthunder.com/CDK_Reference/Units). This way there won't be any creation of dead links, and the page can be maintained as a hub connecting the other pages so that it is understood that the material in those pages are for CDK Reference. --Inceptor57 (talk) 16:17, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
How does one go about that? Do you just need to create a page named "CDK Reference/Units"? (Also I believe some of the links are like https://wiki.warthunder.com/CDK_Reference#Units so they wouldn't be direct links anymore) --Pwa_ (talk) 16:47, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Essentially, yes. The page will be created with the title "CDK_Reference/Units". Links like https://wiki.warthunder.com/CDK_Reference#Units should still work as the section can still exist in the parent CDK_Reference page as a header under the assumption that its just all the content under that header that is being transferred to the new page extension. If you're still unsure on my suggestion, I can create an example with CDK_Reference/Controls to demonstrate.--Inceptor57 (talk) 18:06, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Gotcha, thanks. I'll get to it soon and split it progressively as I (try) to update the sections I haven't updated in a while --Pwa_ (talk) 18:57, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
