The RBU-2500 is a Soviet anti-submarine rocket launcher with sixteen rockets in two rows of eight barrels.

The RBU-2500 launcher system can fire up to 48 x 213 mm rockets, each containing a depth charge. The rockets are fired in rapid succession, creating a barrage of depth charges that can quickly neutralize an enemy submarine. History
The RBU-2500, also known as the Smerch-3, is a Soviet-made anti-submarine rocket launcher system that was developed in the late 1970s. The system was designed to replace the earlier RBU-1200 system and was widely used by the Soviet Navy during the Cold War era. The RBU-2500 was widely deployed on Soviet naval vessels during the Cold War and was also exported to other countries. Today, it remains in service with the Russian Navy and other navies around the world.
