The options available for the Me 410 B-1 are:

  • 8 x 50 kg SC50JA bombs
  • 2 x 250 kg SC250JA bombs
  • 2 x 500 kg SC500K bombs

Defensive armament

Main article: MG 131 (13 mm)

The Me 410 B-1 is armed with:

  • 1 x 13 mm MG 131 machine gun, 2 x beam turret (500 rpg = 1,000 total)

Usage in the battles

This aircraft, like its predecessors, benefits from a large supply of ammo. When performing ground attacks against soft targets, firing the machine guns separately enables a better conservation of the more relevant cannon ammo. It is recommended to use stealth ammo for the machine guns and another belt for the cannons that include tracers, as this enables the pilot to easier gauge the 20mm's trajectory.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • Well armed, mounting 13 mm and 20 mm cannons.
  • Good amount of ammunition for both weapons.
  • Quite durable, well armoured.
  • Great straight-line top speed for a heavy fighter.
  • Sustains high speeds in dives.
  • Air brakes (useful for dive recovery, dog-fighting and landing).
  • Good forward visibility.
  • Stable flyer.
  • Machine guns allow less wasteful ground attack.

Cons:

  • Not very maneuverable (although quite reasonable amongst heavy fighters).
  • Poor energy retention.
  • Less firepower than the (Me 410 A-1/U2).
  • Different forward-firing guns means two trajectories to know.
  • Large target.

History

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ historical reference" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/Name-vehicles/historical reference) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to include links to sources at the end of the article.

Media

An excellent addition to the article will be video guides, as well as screenshots from the game and photos.
