Description

The 12.7 mm FN M3M is a heavy machine gun used by airborne and ground vehicles in the game. Produced by Fabrique Nationale based on the Browning M2 machine gun, the M3M boasts a higher rate of fire. Compared to the M3P, the M3M has a flexible mount.

History

The FN M3M is flexible mounted variant of the M3 Browning used for helicopters. Every branch in the US Armed Forces has this gun available for their helicopters such as the UH-1 Huey, UH-60 Blackhawk, CH-53E Super Stallion, OH-58 Kiowa among others. In the Canadian Armed Forces, it is used by CH-146 Griffon helicopter with the INGRESS upgrade. The British Army uses the M3M on their AgustaWestland AW159 Wildcat and AgustaWestland AW101 Merlin helicopters. In Italy, it was used on the A-129 International (p) prototype export helicopter.
