  • 9.5 mm Steel plate behind pilot.

Armaments

Offensive armament

Main article: AN/M3 (20 mm)

The AD-4 (France) is armed with:

  • 4 x 20 mm AN/M3 cannons (200 rpg = 800 total)

The four cannons are arranged in bundles of two mounted in each wing. Each is armed with the same amount of ammunition, which means that all guns will fire with each other until empty.

Suspended armament

Main article: Suspended armaments

The AD-4 (France) can be outfitted with the following ordnance:

Usage in battles

The AD-4 is well suited for ground attack. All of the suspended payload options provide high damage output whether from rockets or bombs. The wing mounted cannons also will aid in dealing out damage, especially if turned on other aircraft.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • Large variety of payload options
  • Has 4x 20mm cannons for use against light ground targets (or even against enemy aircraft, if the need arises)

Cons:

  • Increased payload weight decreases speed and maneouverability
  • Has a chance of encountering early fighter jets
  • Difficult to fly in stock configuration

History

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref>, as well as adding them at the end of the article. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === Encyclopedia Info ===, also if applicable).

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
