History

The 92-K is a twin-mount variant of the 90-K itself an adaptation of a Red Army 85mm anti-aircraft gun. In 1946, work on a twin mount for the 90-K by placing two guns in a single cradle. Accepted for service in December, 102 mounts were built between 1946 and 1953. In service, the mounts were controlled by the Soyuz-30bis system. Used on mainly the Pr.30K and later Pr.30-bis destroyers such as the Smelyi and Bezuprechny, the 92-K was also used on the P.1190 river monitors.
