History
When the Regio Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force) decided to change the F.C.20 Bis from a reconnaissance bomber to a ground attack aircraft, there was a need to put a cannon in the nose of the plane. To arm the F.C.20, the Regio Aeronautica mounted a variant of the 37 mm/54 Breda Mod.39 the standard naval anti-aircraft weapon of the Regio Marina (Royal Italian Navy). However, the only barely reached squadron service before the Italian Armistice in 1943.
