Even in Arcade, the Mig-3-15 is relatively inferior to most competitors. Its BR of 2.3 puts it with fighters such as the A6M2-N, F4F, and even the early Yak line. However, high altitude performance is one redeeming aspect, as is its top speed as well as level speed. Use this to your advantage, and BnR is very effective and BnZ is do-able as well.<br />

The armament in AB is actually quite effective. The Berezin UB MGs are more than effective for bringing down any fighter, but may struggle with larger and faster bombers such as the A-20. In most aspects, the Berezin UB is more effective and versatile than the M2 Browning .5 caliber MG.<br />

Like the successor to the I-16 and ultimately itself, the I-185, the Mig-3-15 is an excellent BnZ fighter. Strangely enough (for a Russian plane), it has better performance at higher altitude than it does at low alts due to the specialized high-altitude engine meant to remedy the problems of the Mig-1 (not in War Thunder). Additionally, it has a good climb rate and excellent speed for a BR of 2.3. Start a match by climbing fairly high- 3-4 km should be enough depending on your opponents (biplanes or Bfs). From there you can either make work of the bombers or lower-altitude fighters. Roll rate is average while durability is also average for a plane at 2.3. The high speed make BnR (Boom and run) maneuvers a breeze. <br />

"A single-seat monoplane fighter with an all-metal construction, closed cockpit and retractable landing gear with a tail wheel.<br />
The fighter was initially developed by N.N. Polikarpov, and later by A.I. Mikoyan and M.I. Gurevich at OKB-155. <br />

Even in Arcade, the Mig-3-15 is relatively inferior to most competitors. Its BR of 2.3 puts it with fighters such as the A6M2-N, F4F, and even the early Yak line. However, high altitude performance is one redeeming aspect, as is its top speed as well as level speed. Use this to your advantage, and BnR is very effective and BnZ is do-able as well.<br />

The high speed make BnR (Boom and run) maneuvers a breeze. <br />

The Yak-9 was a Soviet single-engine fighter of the WWII era. It was the first combat aircraft designed by Alexander Yakovlev's construction bureau. The most mass-produced Soviet fighter of the war, it remained in production from October 1942 to December 1948, with a total of 16,769 built.<br />

The Yak-9 was a further modification of the Yak-1 and Yak-7. In its core design, it was a redesign of the Yak-7. With few external differences, Yak-9 was at the same time much more advanced internally. The Yakovlev 9-T or Yak-9T as it is most popularly referred to in game, being the most popular of the Yak-9 variants, is best played differently depending on the situation the pilot finds themselves in.<br />

Since this aircraft only has 2 guns, a 37mm in the middle of the engine and a 12.7mm Berezin UB to the side of it (though not enough to the side to need convergence). The '''Yakovlev Yak-9''' (Russian: '''Яковлев Як-9''') was a single-engine single-seat multipurpose fighter aircraft used by the Soviet Union in World War II and after. Fundamentally a development of the robust and successful Yak-7B fighter based in turn on a tandem-seat advanced trainer Yak-7UTI, the Yak-9 arrived to Soviet fighter aviation regiments at the Stalingrad Front in December 1942 and played a major role in taking air superiority over Luftwaffe aces on the new Focke-Wulf Fw 190 and Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighters during the grand Battle of Kursk in summer 1943.<br />

The Yak-9 had a lowered rear fuselage decking and all-around vision canopy. Its lighter metal longerons gave the new fighter a potential to increase fuel load and armament that previous models with wooden airframe had lacked. The Yak-9 was a further modification of the Yak-1 and Yak-7. In its core design, it was a redesign of the Yak-7. With few external differences, Yak-9 was at the same time much more advanced internally. This is not unexpected, as almost two years of design and combat experience of the Yak series went into the Yak-9. Also, at the time aluminium was in much greater supply than it had been two years previously at the start of the war. Amongst other things, the use of metal allowed the plane’s weight to be significantly reduced, meaning that more fuel could be stored and that the aircraft could be equipped with more powerful armament and more specialized equipment.<br />
