The name is a rank rank Japanese jet fighter Battle-rating. It was introduced in Update 1.87 "Locked On".

General info
Flight Performance
This jet, according to update 1.87, Is the fastest jet. The manoeuvrability isn't a strength. The acceleration is comparable to the MIG-19, it is excellent but may not be the best at very low speeds. It has two AIM-9E for dogfights and some rocket and bomb loads. The 20mm Gatling cannon does take a learning curve to get use to because of a short .25 second spool time. This jet comes with radar assisted aiming.

Survivability and armour
Examine the survivability of the aircraft. Note how vulnerable the structure is and how secure the pilot is, whether the fuel tanks are armoured, etc. Describe the armour, if there is any, and also mention the vulnerability of other critical aircraft systems.

Armaments
Offensive armament
Describe the offensive armament of the aircraft, if any. Describe how effective the cannons and machine guns are in a battle, and also what belts or drums are better to use. If there is no offensive weaponry, delete this subsection.

Suspended armament
Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.

Defensive armament
Defensive armament with turret machine guns or cannons, crewed by gunners. Examine the number of gunners and what belts or drums are better to use. If defensive weaponry is not available, remove this subsection.

Usage in battles
Describe the tactics of playing in an aircraft, the features of using vehicles in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).

Radars
AN/APS-21
The Javelin F.(A.W.) Mk.9 is equipped with an AN/APS-21 search radar, as well as an AN/APG-26 target tracking radar. Both radars are located in the nose of the aircraft.
Pros and cons
Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using certain definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".

Pros:

* Has a radar and radar gun sight, allowing you to better plan your booms and get your rounds on target more reliably.
* Extremely fast (fastest aircraft in the game)
* Devastating armament
* High climb rate
* 2 pilots (Not vulnerable to pilot snipes)
* High acceleration
* Maneuverable to get onto target with relative ease.
* Has a tail hook for landing on carriers
* Has a braking chute, making landings on short airstrips or carriers possible
* Strong ordinance options

Cons:

* Not very maneuverable
* Burns through fuel at an astronomical rate with AB
* M61 Vulcan takes getting used to because of 0.25 second spool time
* Requires good trigger discipline and aim as the gun burns through ammunition

*
After taking its first flight in 1954, the MiG-19 became a worldwide sensation – it was the first mass-produced aircraft capable of breaking the sound barrier in horizontal flight after taking off from the ground. Although it was the most advanced combat aircraft of its day, the MiG-19 also had certain problems with maneuverability, and certain other improvements also took shape that were then used in the upgraded versions of the MiG-19. The fighter received an all-movable stabilizer that significantly improved its flight characteristics, enhanced control and braking systems, and new, more powerful 30mm guns instead of 23mm guns. One of the most interesting modifications was the MiG-19PT fighter-interceptor, which was developed especially for the installation of K-13 (P-3C) air-to-air missiles. This missile was strongly influenced by the extremely successful American Sidewinder, models of which the Soviet Union received from China. The MiG-19PT’s flight tests were successfully completed in 1964. The K-13 missile was then used on an entire series of combat aircraft and remained in active use until the end of the 80s. The MiG-19 itself was modernized several times and participated in many armed conflicts. Over 2,000 MiG-19s were manufactured in the USSR, and even more MiGs were manufactured in China: over 4,500 units.
The MiG-19PT’s flight tests were successfully completed in 1964. The K-13 missile was then used on an entire series of combat aircraft and remained in active use until the end of the 80s. The MiG-19 itself was modernized several times and participated in many armed conflicts. Over 2,000 MiG-19s were manufactured in the USSR, and even more MiGs were manufactured in China: over 4,500 units.
break
The name is a Rank rank Soviet jet fighter Battle-rating. It was introduced in Update 1.31.

The Yak-15 is arguably one of the most underestimated planes in the game. Although its stat card reveals what would be considered "sub-par" performance and armament, the Yak-15 is both a unique and deadly fighter. Unlike its propeller-driven counterparts, this first generation jet aircraft wields the ability to hold on to energy in a straight line, whereas prop aircraft will slowly lose speed. Holding speed coupled with its excellent rate of turn allows the Yak-15 to defend itself against both propeller and jet-powered fighters, which is what it will typically face in all game modes.

The Yak-15P's major faults include a low top speed, poor acceleration, little armor protection, and small ammunition pool which collectively make this aircraft harder to use than even other first generation jet aircraft such as the He 162 A-2, the Meteor F. Mk.3, and the F-80A-5. Although it is driven by a jet engine, it is important to recognize the faults and oddities within this aircraft series as they are not representative of the traditional "jet fighter" at all. The Yak-15 is most easily viewed as a late-war Yak-3 powered by a jet engine and with a different armament.
If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).-->
In realistic battles, climbing with this aircraft at the start of a match is not always the best course of action, considering how poor the Yak-15's rate of climb is. Instead of the traditional and slow angled climb, the Yak-15 is best used in a "zoom climb" where once enough energy has been built up at a low altitude the Yak-15 pilot will pitch up, thus gaining altitude quickly. This way, if attacked during the first few minutes of the match, the Yak-15 still wields some energy whereas had the Yak-15 been slowly climbing, it would have had to face another aircraft's guns. To shake an enemy, especially a prop driven enemy, dive low to the ground to ensure your assailant's speed only decreases. This dive is called a "speed trap" and is effective when followed by either a "hammerhead" attack or a continuation of the escape. This tactic of utilising the Yak-15's ability to hold on to energy in a straight line is negated when facing other jet aircraft who wield the same ability; however, this is where the Yak-15's dogfighting abilities come into play. Because it is so similar to the Yak-3, the Yak-15 retains some of its manoeuvrability characteristics, namely its turn time. This facet often proves an indispensable one as other first-generation jets will not be able to maintain a tight enough turn circle.

However, the Yak-15P is severely hampered in its damage output due to its reliance on a single 23 mm NS-23K cannon, with 60 shells total. Expending this pool in seconds is possible. The Yak-15P shares this downfall with aircraft like the Ki-200, and the Me-163. Firing in small, accurate bursts negates this and is the most efficient way of destroying enemies. The 23 mm shells these cannons fire are extremely deadly when they hit and often rip enemies apart.

To use the guns most effectively, be close to your target. The reason for this is twofold: First, the limited ammo means you want your shots to count. Being close to your target will give your cannons the highest chance of hitting. The second reason is that of the ballistics of the 23 mm shells - their muzzle velocity is not very high, meaning you have to lead your targets by quite a bit. If you are closer to your mark, you won't have to lead them by quite as much, although still more than most other cannons.

With some practice, it is possible to consistently get about two fighter kills with one load of ammunition in realistic battles. Using the Air Targets belt is the most effective. However, attacking bombers is best left to other planes with more firepower, since the Yak-15 does not have the firepower or ammunition to kill heavy bombers without sustaining massive damage reliably. Heavy fighters such as the F7F-1 may also take longer to destroy than other opponents.

In arcade battles, the Yak-15 is capable of breaking up a "furball" due to its impressive turn time. The turn time coupled with its hard-hitting cannon makes any Yak-15 pilot an indispensable asset to any arcade team.
*Obtaining the "Offensive 23 mm" modification is the best choice as it allows for more flexibility in armament. Next, try to obtain the "compressor" and "engine" upgrades as they both increase engine thrust which is essential in escaping from a dogfight turned sour. Finally, obtain the rest of the performance upgrades as they will all collectively increase top speed, turn time, and rate of climb.
The name is a Rank rank British jet fighter 1. It was introduced in Update 1.53 "Firestorm".

The Hawker Hunter is the iconic 1950's British swept wing fighter. Produced from a requirement for a jet interceptor dating back to 1946 it fulfilled its role with outstanding success. Able to deliver a punishing blow with it's four 30 mm ADEN cannons and manoeuvrability at high speed, it sits as the top tier jet for the UK. The F.1 completes the current Hawker line in the British tree after the Vampire FB.1 and Venom FB.4, providing an initial steep learning curve. Its calling card is sheer speed, with the Hunter able to go supersonic in dives once spaded.
The Hunter is a 9.0 vehicle and its main strengths are high top speed and good guns, making it a good Boom & Zoomer.

The Hunter is less maneuverable than the F-86 and MiG-15 while being the second fastest with a good thrust-to-weight ratio. However the rate of climb is significantly worse than the other jets and so it requires some side climbing. Stay fast at all times and never drop beneath 850 TAS (~800 km/h in air).

The 30 mm ADEN cannon is an extremely powerful cannon. Being a revolver cannon, it fires extremely fast and has excellent ballistics. The Hunter F Mk.1 is, thanks to mounting a pack of four ADEN 30 mm cannons, the aircraft with the strongest burst mass, near 21 kg/s. This weapon's characteristics mean that 4 of them pose a serious threat for any aircraft that happens to be the target of them. The cannon, however, has the disadvantage of chewing very quickly through ammo thanks to its high rate of fire, so being wary of the ammo count is a necessity. The discrete tracer rounds may induce the player into error, causing the impression that only a light burst is being fired, however experience will quickly disprove anyone who thinks in this manner.

The armour-piercing rounds of the Hunter enable it to do some ground attack against light and medium tanks.
Pros and cons
Pros:

* Highest acceleration in high speed zone (above 900 km/h)
* Easiest top jet for new players. Good guns, good speed, wings hard to rip.
* Large and effective air brake
* Insanely good armaments; four 30 mm ADEN cannons are the best in-game air combat weapons by far, shredding everything in a short-burst fire
* Very good energy retention
* Can out zoom climb MiG-17s and MiG-15bis
* Can out run any jet on your six if put into a 10° climb
* Armament is capable of destroying tanks and light pillboxes
* Boosters allow it to make deflection shots at high speeds
* 30 mm cannons have a high rate of fire altogether

Cons:

* Difficult to use against MiG-17s, mainly because they have better turn, climb rate and maneuverability
* Worst jet in terms of 1 vs 1 due to the bad maneuverability; you will be left in desperation when the rest of the team is gone
* Poor performance in horizontal turning
* Large target, especially when turning
* Horrible maneuverability
* Has to fight 10.0 and 9.7 jets which out class it in the one advantage it has
*

In the aftermath of the second world war the Air Ministry issued Specification E.38/46 for a swept wing research aircraft that was fulfilled by a modified Hawker Sea Hawk (P.1052). The experimental aircraft showed an jump in high speed performance and as a result Hawker went forward to modify the second P.1052 into the P.1081. With a swept tail plane and the engine exhaust now located at the rear of the fuselage instead of the split exhaust further improving performance, it attracted the RAAF. The P.1081 gave Hawker useful information for the development of the Hunter.

In 1946 the Air Ministry issued Specification F.43/46 that was later added onto in 1948 by Specification F.3/48. This demanded a speed of 629 mph at 45,000 ft and a high rate of climb (as F.43/46 was for a jet powered interceptor), while carrying an armament of four 20 mm or two 30 mm cannons. Using what they had learnt from the P.1052 and P.1081 they produced the Prototype P.1067. The new prototype first flew with the Avon 103 engine in 1951 with a second powered by the Avon 107 in 1952.The Air Ministry ordered the Hunter into production in 1950 with the Avon 113 power plant. Thus the iconic Hawker Hunter was born.

The first production or pre-production F.1s entered service in 1953. The first was WT556 that entered service with A&AEE on the 16th of July 1953 and a further 15 delivered the same year. The Early F.1's featured boosted control surfaces but not the under belly air brake. The armament consisted of four 30 mm ADEN cannons with 150 rpg at 1200 rpm located under the nose. The Performance is documented like so:
