History of creation and combat usage
The Type II Tank Gun was a development of the Type 4 75mm AA gun, which itself was a reverse-engineered copy of the Bofors 75mm Model 1929. The gun was known as the Type II until 1945, when its designation changed to the better-known "Type 5".
The gun came in two models. The Model I had a 3-round autoloader attached to it, while the Model II did not.
Related is the Type I 75mm, which was a lighter version of the Type II. The Type I was used on the Na-To, which itself was used had two prototypes. The Na-To I used the Type I 75mm Model I, while the Na-To II (the one available in-game) used the Type I 75mm Model II.
