Changes erased

When another user makes changes to an article via the visual editor while your changes (via source code edit) are not approved yet, the visual editor opens the last approved version instead of the most recent version of the article. Why is the writing template no longer allowed? :thonk:

The wording of the template implies that other users are not allowed to make changes while the notice is present, and we cannot let users "reserve" pages given that this is a wiki and anyone should be free to make a change to a page (in most cases). Therefore, only wiki admins and moderators will be allowed use of the template, and we will be happy to help resolve any edit conflicts if and when they arise. - DnaGonite (talk) 21:12, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
